Oct 2006 to now Living in Manchester.
Aug 2006 to Oct 2006, I had worked for Weir
S&H based in Bristol, for 3 months (short term contract) who is a key supplier to the UK Ministry of Defence and
has considerable experience in meeting the exacting demands of submarine, ship, aviation and weapons safety criteria. We specialise
in submarine weapon discharge and handling systems, major ship logistics and munitions handling systems, torpedo countermeasures
systems, communication systems, sonar towed array systems, aircraft lifts, helicopter landing grids and integrated waste management
systems.
1987 to July 2006, I had worked for Horstman Defence System based in Bath, for 19 years, working up through the
company from CNC machine tool machinist to Manufacturing Production Engineer, working on many projects over the last 10 years,
ranging from manufacture, modification and repair of vehicle suspension components, gearboxes, actuators, high pressure-high
purity gas vessels, auxiliary power generation engines and electromechanical electronic instrumentation including information
display and control equipment for primarily defence applications and other industries, with the provision of logistic support
and associated spares. Precision machining and assembly of mechanical and electro-mechanical items including titanium and
other materials.
1982 to 1987, I had worked for GEC Mechanical Handling Ltd, based in Melksham, for 5 years, where
I worked for my apprenticeship.
