Production Engineer
Core
duties
q Create Bills of material via item company lists, including any raw material required.
q Create methods of production to a cost and time effective plan.
q Advise Design Draftsmen on the machine ability of designed parts.
q Create & develop CAD stage drawings for work packs.
q Create & develop CAD jig & tool detailed drawings, bills of material & requisitions.
q Create & develop CAM programs for CNC machine tools, with a bias towards milling, little
with turning, no 5th axis work experience.
q Create Working instructions for CNC Machine tools.
q Create Working instructions for Fitting Department.
q Create Technical specifications where appropriate.
q Identify Cost improvements using Lean tools, 6 months experience only.
q Attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business
and organisational development.
q Provide a service to shop floor trouble-shooting, advising.
Secondary
duties
q Create & develop TPM & KAN-BAN systems.
q DNC System Administrator.
q Continuous Improvement Team Member.
q IT assistant to IT Director to help in day-to-day trouble solving.
Occasional
duties.
q Create & develop CAD drawings for new company layout developments.
q Create & develop CAD drawings for Design Works Manager, due to lack of CAD Draftsman.
q Using MRP software, create purchase orders for subcontractors.
q Fire Marshall Administrator.
q Health & Safety member.
